This Friday is our last session before we reconvene in Spring. To wrap things up, we will be having a potluck. FETCH is doing Mongolian barbecue to go with this week’s regional lesson on Ghengis Khan and we are asking families bring a side dish of their choice to share – no need to worry about this week’s Mongolian theme!
We will also work together on getting the farm ready for families to work on their own individual garden beds in the Spring. Come prepared to weed and possibly plant! At Communication Club, parents will wrap up this semester’s discussions and our youth will do a kinetic family drawing and begin work on a new FETCH mural to go up in the pergola!
To get everyone excited about this Friday, check out these pictures from our Friday session two weeks ago…
Our youth participants worked hard both indoors and outdoors to start hydroponic buckets for the model home garden and to reflect on their feelings about how their family operates.
We also built benches for the pergola!
Left: Parents prep kebabs for dinner. Right: Families enjoy a talk on Cyprus the Great while we eat.
Aloha! See you Friday!
